Marc Ellis, Pacom's National Training Manager, established the Sarasota-based training center in 2004 and has been responsible for both creating and implementing a number of educational courses and documents.Marc handles most of the training at the center.
Pacom has designed special training courses to help sales and technical staffs on marketing Pacom products, system configurations and installations, troubleshooting, and product solutions. Courses focused toward sales training such as prospecting, system design, presentations, handling customer objectives and closing skills are also offered. The courses are a combination of instructor lead-discussions, performance-based training (PBT), computer-based training (CBT) and special hands-on classes. Other courses include administration, management, programming and application interaction.
In addition, Pacom has designed several specialized courses for its partners, resellers and customers that meet their individual security system needs and help resolve installation and operational challenges. Pacom also allows access to its library of training documents through its online training web site portal.
