Company receives F&S 2006 Award for Market Penetration
Axis Communications has received Frost & Sullivan's 2006 Award for Market Penetration Leadership in network video. The award is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated strategic excellence in product innovation, marketing, and sales strategies that have resulted in the largest gain in market share over the past two to three years.

Frost & Sullivan identified Axis by analyzing market share gain, the company's increase in sales, and brand awareness efforts in the industry. Frost & Sullivan's analyst team also evaluated criteria such as competitive pricing strategies, sales force strategies, strategic alliances and product innovation.

"Axis focuses on providing quality IP-based products and maintaining strong relationships with its channel partners," says Sathya Durga, Frost & Sullivan research analyst. "Through its partnership and training programs, Axis is playing an important role in shifting video surveillance technology from analog to network-based security solutions."

Axis' partnership initiatives include the Channel Partner Program for resellers and authorized distributors, and the Application Development Partner Program for companies creating software and applications based on Axis network video products. In addition, the company hosts Axis Academy programs to train, evaluate and certify channel members.

In 2005, Axis was presented the Frost & Sullivan Market Leadership Award for network video. The global growth consulting company found Axis to be the definitive market leader in the global network video equipment market. The combined worldwide network video market is expected to grow at an annual rate of 40 percent and reach $1.2 billion by 2010.

"We are pleased that Frost & Sullivan has recognized Axis for our market penetration leadership in network video. Our network video sales grew nearly 70 percent worldwide in the first quarter of this year. This is a due to a focused strategy on video, development of competitive new products and increased members in our partnership program targeting distributors, resellers and system integrators." says Ray Mauritsson, President of Axis Communications.
