Accendo platform to offer security and facility management for Crenshaw Plaza mall
LOS ANGELES - SFW LLC, an emerging leader in developing and delivering critical infrastructure management systems (IMS) and services, has implemented its Accendo platform at Crenshaw Plaza, one of Southern California's premier shopping malls, to provide the organization with new powerful and cost effective Web-based facility management and security solutions. It took less than one week to setup the new system.

Accendo is a Web-based mapping platform that allows authorized management and security officers to retrieve, store and manipulate information directly onto the organization's maps and floor plans from anywhere at any time. Accendo was implemented with SFW Controller, a security, safety and emergency preparedness module; SFW Incident, a module that helps organizations track and minimize facility-related liabilities; and SFW Custom Assets, a new feature that allows Crenshaw Plaza to add many other assets that are important for their daily security and safety operations

The combined solution replaces time intensive and error prone paper-based systems and enables the management team at Crenshaw Plaza to make better decisions regarding its infrastructure management, while providing the right tools to assure optimal response times during critical emergency situations. The system includes a number of customized features including interoperability with existing mall technology such as closed-circuit television cameras.

"The Accendo solution is enabling significant improvement in key areas such as emergency preparedness, loss prevention and risk management," said Dave Richmond, general manager of Crenshaw Plaza. "We now have the ability to instantly record specific incidents such as personal injury, accidents or damage to assets in real time in order to track patterns and implement new systems to minimize risk. The application also allows us to improve communications both internally and with outside parties such as law enforcement officials. We are expecting tremendous value from the application in relation to our security, safety and emergency preparedness efforts, which will improve the overall result of service to our patrons."

"Based on successful Accendo implementations at other mall properties, we felt the solution was an excellent, cost-effective fit for Crenshaw Plaza based on their facility management needs," said Alex Udler, president and CEO of GSC, SFW's strategic partner overseeing relationships with leading malls and shopping centers nationwide. "The solution pulls all areas of the mall's infrastructure management and security components into one centralized system, enabling greatly improved visibility and efficiency. Additionally, communication between management and emergency providers has also been improved."
