San Diego, CA (September 25, 2006) – The most recent introduction to the comprehensive line of Dortronics electronic time delay devices is being presented at ASIS. The new ET Timer is an expanded version of the AT/FT Time Delay products and can be added as an option to many of the Dortronics push buttons, key switches and sounders.

The ET Timer meets the increasing need for adjustable timers and provides additional options for system design and retrofits,” said John FitzPatrick, Vice President, Dortronics Systems, Inc. “It’s a practical and cost-effective solution as access requirements become more diverse and demanding.”

The new ET Timers are powered from a 12 to 24 volt DC supply and provide an adjustable (one-60 second) time delayed DPDT – 3 Amp dry contact output. The ET Timer can be triggered from either a normally open or a normally closed momentary dry contact or by switching the trigger input to the power source ground.

A field selectable jumper will allow the timer to execute a single timing cycle upon initial power up for application flexibility. Wiring terminals are provided for connection of all field wiring.

Applications for the ET Timers include delayed re-locking control for electric locking hardware or as an alarm shunt. This device is also offered as factory configured to provide exit alarm and door prop functionality.
