Brijot names John Marsala vice president of sales

New sales VP brings 25 years of experience to detection systems manufacturer

Brijot Imaging Systems, an industry leader of passive millimeter wave concealed object detection and people screening technology, announced today that it has appointed John Marsala, an industry veteran with an extensive background in full-body imaging systems, as vice president of sales. Marsala will be responsible for extending BrijotÄ…s reach in the full body imaging market as a subject matter expert on people screening solutions.

"As we press forward to new markets and increasing sales, it is paramount to acquire a talented sales force to build momentum," said Leon Chlimper, vice president for global sales and marketing. "John Marsala is a veteran player in the people screening security market and carries a proven track record for moving products forward in market position and building sales pipelines."

With more than 25 years of experience in the creation, direction and management of sales channels, Marsala joins Brijot from his previous post of vice president of sales and marketing for L3 SafeView, Inc., a manufacturer of full-body imaging systems used for anti-terrorism security screening. Marsala is credited for converting the walk-through metal detector business to full-body imaging systems.

"Brijot has had great success in making strategic moves within the security industry and I look forward to adding my experience to this mix," said Marsala. "Additionally, I am especially excited by the opportunity to build strategic partnerships and strengthen market presence as we move into new vertical markets."

Marsala is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point with a B.S. degree in Engineering and also holds an M.S. in Organic Chemistry from The George Washington University.
