Installations Up to 1000 Feet on CAT-5 Cable

Las Vegas, NV (March 28, 2007) – Building on its established new series of integrated devices that deliver more than just power, Altronix Corporation is showcasing its new HubWay22 Video/Data/Power device here at ISC West 2007. The HubWay22 provides centralized UTP video, RS422/RS-S485 data and distributed camera power over a single CAT-5 or higher cable for distances up to 1000 feet to help simplify video surveillance installations. Additionally, the HubWay22 has built-in passive video baluns for consolidation/breakout of the video, data and power over the CAT-5 twisted pair cable.

“The new HubWay22 takes advantage of new or existing structured cable to route video, data and power to cameras. Its integrated capabilities provide system installers with ease of installation and improved cost-efficiency,” said Alan Forman, President, Altronix Corporation.

The HubWay22 handles up to eight cameras. It offers 24VAC or 28VAC selectable outputs to accommodate for voltage drops without the need for an external power source. It includes with HubWayA video combiners for camera connections. The unit has an 8 amp total supply current (1 amp max per channel) and each channel is fuse protected. An illuminated master power disconnect circuit breaker with manual reset and individual power LED indicators is also incorporated into the design. The HubWay22 is enclosed in a modular 2U standard EIA 19” rack mount chassis and features removable terminal blocks with locking screw flanges for easier maintenance.
