In perhaps the most innovative marketing move to hit the industry, Tri-Ed Distribution announces a joint marketing program with XM Satellite Radio. Designed to enhance the sales and marketing clout of their dealers, Tri-Ed has rolled out a ground-breaking arrangement with XM Satellite Radio that allows these dealers to offer a free radio to their customers with the installation of a security system.

“We want to help our customers maximize their sales potential. Our objective is to provide our dealers with a competitive edge,” says Steve Roth, CEO. “This program allows our customers to combine one of the fastest growing consumer electronics technologies with a state-of-the-art security system, and deliver a higher level of value to the end-user.”

The Tri-Ed XM Advantage Program allows dealers to offer their customers three very popular packages to pick from with the purchase of a security system. Through the exclusive Tri-Ed XM Advantage Program, security installers can differentiate themselves in the marketplace by offering a “Safe – and Sound” – system: Security and XM Radio. The very popular Audiovox XM Xpress satellite radio is free and the other systems are offered at greatly reduced rates.

This program is configured to help dealers increase sales appointments and close more deals. It represents the leveraging of the consumer electronics market with residential security in a very effective way. It has been officially rolled out in all of Tri-Ed’s U.S. branch locations.

XM has skyrocketed to claim its place as America's #1 Satellite Radio provider. It offers more than 170 digital radio channels with 69 commercial-free music channels, 38 sports channels, more than 30 news, talk and entertainment channels and more than 20 dedicated channels of XM Instant Traffic & Weather. Subscribers tune into XM on a variety of satellite radios for the car, home and portable use.

Tri-Ed, North America's largest independent wholesale distributor of security and low voltage products, is growing at a rapid rate and continues to exceed expectations, one customer at a time. For more information, visit www.tri-ed.com.
