Silex Technology America Forms Strategic Alliance with M2SYS Technologies

Sept. 14, 2006

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 12, 2006--silex technology america Inc. today announced a strategic partnership with M2SYS Technology, a leading biometric technology research and development firm. M2SYS supports silex's fingerprint SDK and S1 biometric fingerprint reader with its Bio-Plugin(TM) solution providing a turnkey solution that accelerates the rate of biometric adoption, simplifies integration, and eliminates run-time dependencies.

"This partnership will deliver significant value to silex customers and greatly increase the distribution of silex fingerprint technology, especially in the private sector," said Gary Bradt, silex vice president, biometrics division. "The innovative M2SYS Bio-Plugin solution will enable software developers to rapidly integrate and deploy the silex fingerprint SDK and S1 fingerprint reader within a scalable, server-based architecture, avoiding extensive development and accelerating time-to-market."

The M2SYS Bio-Plugin solution for silex fingerprint technology is an enterprise-ready fingerprint recognition system that can be seamlessly integrated into most Windows and Web-based software in just a few hours, operates outside of the host software run-time, works with Citrix and Terminal Services deployments, and is scanner and fingerprint SDK independent. Because of the innovative Bio-Plugin design, M2SYS was able to build support for silex in less than a week, enabling them to immediately begin delivering the solution to integrators.

silex's S1 biometric fingerprint reader incorporates the latest Radio Frequency (RF) technology that allows the device to penetrate deep into the inner layer of the human finger, providing a more accurate reading. silex's fingerprint SDK is used to implement a user's application with fingerprint authentication and verification.

"As demand for their exceptional S1 fingerprint reader has grown, silex has quickly gained recognition as a leading provider of biometric hardware for the private sector," said Mizan Rahman, CEO of M2SYS. "Adding support for the silex fingerprint SDK and reader with Bio-Plugin immediately bolsters silex's software and hardware distribution potential and strengthens M2SYS' position as a fingerprint software technology enabler in the global marketplace."
