Lenel Releases IdentityDefender Technology Update

LAS VEGAS, ASIS International, Booth # 2649, Sept. 24, 2007 — Lenel Systems International announced today the commercial availability of a technology update to IdentityDefender, an off-the-shelf solution for creating, customizing and managing both physical and logical security credential data in a customized business workflow environment. The technology update is release 2.2, and is being sold through authorized IdentityDefender value-added resellers. Technology updates are issued between major product releases, and enable Lenel to deliver new capabilities as soon as they are available. The IdentityDefender technology update provides a streamlined and optimized data capture workflow in IdentityCollector, the module responsible for capturing a credential recipient’s photograph, biometric and demographic information. The new release also adds support for ActivIdentity card management system (CMS) 4.0 Service Pack 2. IdentityDefender 2.2 conforms to the specifications of FIPS 201-1, the latest U.S. government standard for personal identity verification of federal employees and contractors.h
