Cisco's Guido Jouret to Keynote ISC West

Emerging markets CTO to address convergence, the move to IP-enabled security systems

Guido Jouret, the chief technology officer (CTO) of Cisco's Emerging Markets Technology Group, will be keynoting ISC West 2007.

Jouret is scheduled to speak on Wednesday, March 28 at 8:30 a.m. in Room 501 of the Sands Expo Center, as part of a morning event presented by the Security Industry Association (SIA), the National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA), the California Alarm Association (CAA). The morning keynote is open to any and all ISC West attendees.

According to a statement from the CAA, the keynote will predominantly be focused on the topic of security convergence and the move to IP-connected security systems.

The room will open for general seating at 8 a.m., and the morning keynote, opening event will wrap-up around 9:30 a.m. before the show and training sessions open at 10 a.m.

Dean Russo of Reed Exhibitions, the company that creates and promotes the ISC events, said that Jouret was a natural fit for the changing and diversifying electronic security business.

"The ISC West audience, dictated by emerging technology, is increasingly becoming more diverse with dealer/installers and end-users of security products meshing with systems integrators," said Russo, in an announcement of Jouret's speaking keynote.
