Las Vegas, NV, April 5, 2006 - Tyco Fire & Security announced today that it is working with Microsoft to develop a software platform from which essential business and security applications can be created and integrated. Based on Microsoft .NET technologies, the Tyco Fire & Security Software House solution will deliver a more secure and complete solution to customers across the globe.

“We’ve been working with Microsoft for several years, and we’re pleased that our shared objectives of higher security and business productivity have brought us together to create this powerful platform on Microsoft .NET,” said Don Lyman, Vice President of Tyco Fire & Security’s Access Control and Video Systems.

Tyco Fire & Security’s Software House research and development group is developing the application integration platform, based on Microsoft .NET technologies, to allow customers to use industry-standard tools to develop or link other applications more easily, and more powerfully, than ever before.

“This unique platform will allow us to present the most advanced security solution on the market, while maintaining compatibility with our broad base of legacy systems installed around the world,” added Lyman.
