Cool Zone system offers ultra quiet fan system, sensors for detecting heat, digital temperature readout

MINNEAPOLIS, March 7, 2007 — Winsted introduces the Cool Zone rack mount cooling system for quiet, self-regulating cooling of rack mount electronics.

Cool Zone utilizes four ultra quiet fans and three sensors to detect temperatures and deliver 100 CFM of cooling capacity to the CPU servers, system and hard drive. Fan speed is automatically adjusted by the thermal controller in six levels depending on the temperature.

An LCD screen displays temperatures ranging from 0 to 100 degrees Celsius or 32 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Additional features include: an audible alarm that sounds when temperatures reach a predetermined level, time display with a built-in alarm clock, and a system status display that indicates power and hard drive activity.
