Company celebrates silver anniversary of central station and business management systems

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Bold Technologies is celebrating its silver anniversary of providing cutting-edge central station automation and business management software to the security industry.

Bold started out in 1981 as Bradley Data Systems with two employees, Jerry Winslow and Kurt Emanuelson. Through the years, beginning with the creation of the Bold Central Station Automation System, the company has shaped the development of contemporary alarm monitoring by introducing faster and more sophisticated software innovations. Bold has also helped define critical new standards for security information management and has made professional automation accessible to every central station by offering cost-effective packages for every application.

“The last 25 years has brought a lot of change to the industry, and Bold is proud to have been evolving along with the industry as a whole,” said Jerry Winslow, vice president of sales & marketing and an original founder. “Bold has stood the test of time during these 25 years and today we are at the forefront as an industry leader because of our never wavering world-class customer support and products.”

Bold’s flagship Windows-based automation software, Manitou, is the result of Bold’s 25 years of always striving to improve its offerings. Manitou provides customers with One Point of Control for all their monitoring technologies – including video, access control and GPS.

“The next 25 years and beyond are going to see more changes in the industry - some changes will be so radical that no one could possible predict them right now,” said company president, Rod Coles. “That’s why it was important that we developed Manitou to make it both scalable and expandable to accommodate all the technologies that our customers will need for today and into the future.”

As part of the year-long 25th anniversary celebration, Bold has developed a new logo that will be used in the company’s promotional and marketing materials. Bold will also celebrate with its customer-base during this year’s Bold Users Conference, scheduled for July.
