Show tapped by Tradeshow Week magazine in 'fastest 50' list, and in top 200 of North American shows

Alexandria, Va. (Sept. 18, 2007) – The ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits, the world's largest event dedicated to security, has been named by Tradeshow Week magazine for the third year in a row as one of the 50 fastest-growing tradeshows in the United States and Canada. ASIS International, the preeminent organization for security management professionals, produces the event.

ASIS debuted on Tradeshow Week's "Fastest 50" list in 2005, and is one of only 26 exhibits recognized that year to repeat on the 2006 list. Among the 2007 winners, the ASIS event is one of 27 shows to appear from the previous year.

The annual "Fastest 50" recognizes the achievement of shows that experienced the greatest growth in net square footage in the last three years. The 2006 Seminar and Exhibits, held in San Diego, featured 263,600 square feet of paid exhibit space. In 2005, ASIS had more than 247,000 square feet of paid exhibit space.

The 53rd Annual Seminar and Exhibits in Las Vegas promises more than 270,000 net square feet of the latest security technology and innovations and provides a showcase for more than 900 companies demonstrating the cutting-edge security products and services that are shaping the industry today.

Tradeshow Week also named ASIS 2006 to its list of top 200 tradeshows in North America. Although the ASIS event has garnered a spot on the magazine's list of leading exhibits for several years, last year's event was the first to eclipse the "top 100" mark (ranking 85th).

The ASIS International Annual Seminar and Exhibits was also recognized in the April 2007 issue of Exhibitor Magazine as one of the top-five tradeshows nationwide last year in terms of its attendees' buying power. ASIS 2006 tied for fourth place on the list of the exhibits with the highest attendee "Net Buying Influence" (NBI), as an estimated 94 percent of the show's attendees had the power to recommend or make final purchasing decisions. ASIS 2006 was the only security event recognized in the Exhibitor Magazine list of leaders.
