CHICAGO - Telular Corporation today announced that Sonitrol Corporation, one of the nations’ largest commercial security companies, has selected Telular to be a provider of digital cellular alarm products and services for analog to digital upgrades and new security installations. Using Telular’s patented technology, Telguard Digital provides primary and backup alarm communication solutions for residential-VoIP, small business, financial, commercial and fire system markets over the nationwide GSM digital cellular network. Telguard Digital solutions will help replace Sonitrol’s analog (AMPS) cellular alarm units to provide high levels of security monitoring.

The impending Sunset Clause is an FCC mandate that enables cellular providers to turn off their analog networks without consequences on or after the date. Telular’s patented technology provides cellular alarm communication from the protected premise to its monitoring center when the telephone line or network has been disrupted, compromised, or if no wireline service is used.
