AMAG Joins Panasonic Solution Developer Network

Sept. 7, 2007
"Open iInfrastructure" initiative continues with integrated technologies to deliver advanced networking solutions

Secaucus, NJ (September 6, 2007) - Panasonic Security Systems, a leader in professional video surveillance and security systems for 50 years, has announced the enrollment of AMAG Technology in the Panasonic Solution Developer Network (PSDN) program.

The alliance joins two leading suppliers of advanced networking products and technologies - Panasonic, with their i-Pro Series of intelligent and professional IP video surveillance products, and AMAG Technology, with their Symmetry Video Management System, offering a flexible and intelligent solution for the integration of video surveillance and access control systems.

According to Michael Maddox, System Sales Engineer and PSDN Program Manager for Panasonic, the PSDN Program is designed to offer AMAG and other PSDN participants the development tools, technical information, and protocols to encourage and accelerate the development of integrated and interoperable system solutions for a variety of applications.

"The trend towards integrated systems operating on a networked platform requires the cooperation of companies with differing core expertise to work more closely together, in order to provide users with more efficient security solutions," said Mr. Maddox. "We are pleased to have AMAG join our PSDN Program and believe their Symmetry Video solution offers a comprehensive feature set to accompany our i-Pro IP cameras."

Through its "Open Infrastructure" strategic initiative and the PSDN Program, Panasonic is helping to provide end users with security technology hardware and software solutions that work seamlessly together.

"Customers will find this a powerful integration solution that provides leading edge technology on both fronts - access control and video," said AMAG Technology President Bob Sawyer. "The PoE (Power over Ethernet) technology from Panasonic is scalable, cost-efficient, and saves time, while their imaging expertise provides the precise, high resolution images that customers demand."

The Symmetry Video smart software is based on open platform technology and allows the seamless integration of Panasonic's i-Pro cameras, as well as building and intrusion systems, with AMAG's innovative access control system. It's a user friendly and scalable solution and allows the migration from analog to digital at a managed pace. Additionally, the Symmetry Edge Network Video Servers (ENVS) provide a powerful option for live video management and centralized storage of video from the ENVS and Panasonic's i-Pro IP cameras.
