Launch unifies IP video and access control

Ridgefield Park, NJ, August 01, 2006 -- DVTel Inc., multiple award-winning market leader in the development and delivery of intelligent security solutions over IP networks, today announced that the new Longitude IP Access Control solution has been successfully launched and demand continues to exceed all expectations.

Full, formal launch of Longitude IPAC comes quickly after the April announcement of the acquisition of SAI Inc. and its access control line, and the unification of Longitude into the DVTel intelligent Security Operations Center (iSOC) V5. DVTel’s Access Control Division, with nearly 25 years developing advanced security technology, has a well-deserved reputation for scalability, reliability and price to performance ratio. DVTel’s impressive customer base includes a telecommunications company which utilizes the world’s largest single access control system: over 3,000 buildings with 150,000 cardholders, 30,000 readers, and more than one million transactions per day.

“We hear a lot about integration in the security industry, but true integration remains an enigma for most,” said Sandy Jones, President of Sandra Jones and Co. “The DVTel Longitude is unique in that it is a truly integrated solution, giving users a single, user-friendly interface for both access control and video. This result is much greater efficiency and effectiveness for the installer and the customer”

The Longitude IP Access Control (IPAC) is an open, software-based access control solution with features including alarm monitoring, graphical maps, automation, reporting, photo ID badge creation, time and attendance, visitor logging, and PLC.

“This unified offering provides a total software-based security solution that clearly raises the bar with competing network video and access control providers,” said Eli Gorovici, DVTel President and CEO. “Longitude is a full-featured, enterprise level access control system that is hardware agnostic, so it can take over just about any legacy access control system. Longitude IPAC utilizes multi-vendor readers and panels including the new HID VertX line of IP products. With DVTel, the end user is no longer locked into proprietary access control hardware and that’s a significant advantage for our customers.”

The unified iSOC V5, combining Longitude IPAC, Latitude Network Video Management (NVMS), video analytics capability, as well as other powerful management modules, boasts a rich integration platform that offers a single, highly intuitive graphical user interface. iSOC V5 is the only open standards, IP-based security management center that unifies all video, audio, data, access control, trend analysis and alarm management functionality into one enterprise command and control center.

With iSOC V5, there is a common operational view that enables the operator to capture, manage, analyze, integrate and then act on previously unorganized and overly complex data—resulting in improved reaction time, enhanced operator productivity and reduced corporate loss.

Gorovici again, “The feedback on the unified iSOC solution from our integrator partners and our end users has been tremendous. We now have a complete, highly comprehensive platform that offers our customers flexibility to choose the entire system or the components they want now, and it ensures that they waste none of their existing investment in infrastructure and legacy hardware.”
