With launch of ACS OnSite, company now offers both web-hosted and web-connected solutions

Bethesda, MD – Brivo Systems, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced the release of ACS OnSite, a Web-connected access control solution. ACS OnSite is a standalone system ideally suited for providing security at a single facility, even if that facility houses more than one business. This new addition to the product line makes Brivo the only company to offer both a “Web-hosted” and “Web-connected” solution to their customers.

“There are now two browser-accessible product designs in the access control market: a Web server embedded into a single control panel itself, and a centrally hosted application serving as many panels as customers wish to place in their accounts,” stated Steven Van Till, President and COO of Brivo. “With the introduction of our standalone product—which complements our existing hosted model with a new embedded Web server design—Brivo becomes the only vendor in the industry to offer both models. This allows our customers to choose what’s best for their applications.”

ACS OnSite is a Web-connected access control solution with a simple, browser interface. No software installation and no elaborate training are required. ACS OnSite also provides remote management, meaning that administrators can manage doors and control access from anywhere via the Web. And because ACS OnSite utilizes the proven ACS5000 hardware with the new ACS5000-S Control Panel, it is easily upgradeable to ACS WebService, Brivo’s Web-hosted access control solution, with a simple firmware upgrade.

The ACS5000-S, like its Ethernet and Wireless counterparts, is an expandable control panel with the capacity of up to 30 doors, with optional remote door controllers. It offers a built-in user interface that works with your existing browser. All configuration data is stored locally, thereby eliminating the need for telecommunications or other network connectivity.
