Printing badges increases usability and security options; new version supports Spanish and French user interfaces

Bethesda, MD, December 14, 2006 – Brivo Systems, LLC, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced the release of Version 7.3 of the Brivo ACS WebService application. This major new release lets end-users generate customized badges for both identification and access. Version 7.3 also supports Spanish and French user interfaces, increasing the markets and usability for the Web-hosted version of Brivo's econtrol Online Access Control system.

Brivo ACS WebService already supports the ability to capture user images and store them in User Details. The 7.3 version now offers a set of standardized badge templates that Administrators can easily customize to meet the specific needs of their organizations. Layouts can include corporate logos, company name, address, and more. Badges can then be individualized using the employee data already maintained in the customer's ACS WebService account, including user photographs.

Brivo's Steve Van Till, President and COO, said, "The ability to create and produce custom badges gives Brivo ACS WebService customers a very effective tool to help them further increase security. By integrating badge creation with their existing access control system, where the user information already exists, our customers save time and expense and the process is very easy to implement."

The badge identification photos, stored in the User Details, can be either imported as existing images or captured when the record is created. For badge production, Brivo offers the Magicard Rio 2e card printers.

In addition to the badging functionality, the new ACS WebService version enables administrators to set their user interface to Spanish or French, in addition to English. The application can either automatically detect the user's browser language preference settings, or the user can select the language within the application.
