Unique design of Sensormatic system provides anti-theft coverage for 3-foot and 6-foot wide doorways

BOCA RATON, Fla. - ADT Security Services, a unit of Tyco Fire & Security, today announced a new Sensormatic anti-theft system designed to help protect stores with smaller exits measuring between 3 feet and 6 feet in width.

The lightweight system is mounted directly on a store’s entry or exit door and comes as either a single (3-foot) or a double (6-foot) door unit.

According to Lee Pernice, national accounts marketing manager for ADT, the Sensormatic UltraMax System 3020L is easy to install and offers a confined detection area, which allows retailers to increase their merchandising area by placing tagged items closer to the door without triggering an alarm.

“By attaching directly on the door, the low profile system provides retailers with a clean look and more floor space for displays,” Pernice said.  “It also can supplement and enhance anti-theft protection through use on interior doors such as employee exits, stock rooms or back exits.”

The Ultra Max System 3020L is part of the Sensormatic UltraMax family of anti-theft systems, which utilize acousto-magnetic technology. The system is compatible with all UltraMax hard tags and labels for both hard and soft retail goods.
