DVTel Appoints New CTO and Announces Expansion into Indian Market

IP surveillance and monitoring company opens new sales and operations office in New Delhi

Ridgefield Park, NJ - DVTel Inc., multiple award-winning market leader in delivering integrated IP security solutions for surveillance and monitoring, today announced that it has promoted Ed Thompson to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The company further announced that it continues to expand global operations with the addition of new staff and offices in the EMEA and APAC markets.

Over the last three years, DVTel has experienced remarkable growth of 200% plus increases in sales year on year, a doubling of staff each year, and an installation base nearing 1000 sites worldwide.

Ed Thompson joined DVTel in 2002 as VP of Product Management. He has focused on product development to create an award-winning family of open standards IP solutions including Latitude NVMS, SceneTracker AVT, iSOC and an industry leading suite of “no compromise” IP camera models. As CTO, Ed will manage a team charged with identifying and leveraging emerging technologies that will further advance and differentiate DVTel’s innovative solutions for the end user.

In the APAC region, DVTel has opened a new sales and operations office in New Delhi that will service the growing markets of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.

With DVTel’s recent new office openings, market expansions and staff promotions, the company has more than tripled the number of employees since 2003 serving end users, partners, dealers, and integrators from its five offices around the world. As 2006 begins, the company looks to build on stellar sales growth in the major North American and UK markets; expansion in the EMEA markets; new operations in Singapore and Malaysia; and the recent expansion into India and other key Asian markets.
