BANDITS who stole a recording of their hold-up did not bank on a second, secret surveillance tape.
Keilor Downs police are appealing for information about an armed robbery at the Tottenham Hotel at 10.50pm on December 1.
Two men in balaclavas threatened the hotel attendant, 39, and bound his hands and feet.
One of the men exposed his face to the security camera and removed the surveillance tape, but a hidden VCR continued to record.
The pair assaulted the attendant and escaped with his Toyota Hi-Ace van, cash and alcohol.
