BRADENTON, FLA. – GE’s Security business today announced that Dave Griffith has been named as vice president, sales and marketing for networked solutions.  This position is responsible for working with residential, commercial, real estate, builder and auto dealer market integrators and dealers to help them combine the power of integrated technologies for CCTV, intrusion detection, and access control for comprehensive solutions, all from one source.

Griffith is a 20-year GE veteran, most recently general manager for marketing at GE’s Consumer and Industrial Group, working in the lighting and electrical distribution markets.

“Dave brings to this role extensive marketing experience and he has a winning track record and leadership skills that complement our sales leadership and talent,” said Greg Burge, GE Security’s Networked Solutions President.  “His technical educational background and extensive Six Sigma experience will be of significant value as he addresses the many process and support issues that will provide our channel partners with the competitive edges they deserve.  With Dave, we look forward to greatly enhancing our ability to leverage joint marketing sales and marketing opportunities.”

Griffith said it’s an exciting time to be part of the growth at GE Security as the company leverages programs such as offering builders financing options from other GE groups.

“We’re growing organically, creating new technologies, such as the recently-announce WaveJet compression technology, which more than doubles the number of images a digital recorder can hold.  We continue to bring on new companies, combining their strengths with our own GE solutions to provide our dealers and integrators with full suites of products,” said Griffith.  “We’re also bringing stability to the industry by insisting on open standards and integrated solutions to make going to market easier on our dealers and integrators as well as their customers.”

Griffith graduated from West Virginia University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and from Baldwin-Wallace College with an MBA in Marketing and Finance.  He is located at GE’s Tualatin (Portland), Ore. facility.
