Securitas USA Lands High Level of Protection by DHS

Company awarded protection by U.S. SAFETY Act

The U.S.-based division of Securitas has earned protection from the Department of Homeland Security.

By earning the highest level of protection from the SAFETY Act (Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act), Securitas Security Services USA will be protected from issues of risk and liability deriving from acts of terrorism.

The protection is award to companies that offer products and services that are for anti-terrorism. The protection from third-party liability covers not only Securitas Security Services USA, but also covers the company's subcontractors and clients.

In a prepared statement following receipt of the SAFETY Act protection, Securitas Security Services USA's Chairnman Don Walker said the company was "very pleased to receive this approval which follows an extensive review by the Department of Homeland Security of the service standards adopted and followed by our company."
