Tech firm brought specifying engineers together with end users and technology partners for education and networking event

AMAG Technology, makers of the Symmetry Security Management System, recently hosted its 7th annual Security Engineering Symposium and sent SIW a brief report on the symposium. The event, held Feb. 24-27 at the Sanibel Island Resort and Spa in Fort Myers, Fla., brought together approximately 85 engineers and other attendees.

The AMAG Security Engineering Symposium serves as part partner/developer conference and part solutions engineer event. The event sees presentations from top partners, including Axis, Bioscrypt, HID Global, Fargo, Imprivata, Intransa, IR, NEC, Stentophone, Zenitel, Vidient and Winsted.

The event served as a chance for security engineers to get hands-on with AMAG's Symmetry Security Management System, including the video management and network video server configurations.

The event pulled in a keynote from Shayne Bates, principal at Koffel Associates, discussing the theme of security convergence, and the symposium also saw linksters head off for the event's golf scramble (co-hosted by AMAG and HID) at a nearby golf club.
