Orlando, Fla. -- Tyco Fire & Security has introduced the Kantech Video Vault, an easy to use video storage and management option available with EntraPass access control software.

Now customers have an intuitive tool for managing and storing video integrated with their Kantech EntraPass access control system. The Kantech Video Vault's automated archiving reduces the staff hours spent managing surveillance video of access control events while expanding the options for storing and safeguarding it.

"An integrated access and video solution shouldn’t add work – it should create an easier, more efficient security system," explains Leon Langlais, general manager of Tyco Fire & Security’s Kantech product range. "That was our goal with Video Vault; to take the power of video linked with access control events and make it very simple to manage.”

Kantech customers already know the benefits of video integration. Many use the integrated American Dynamics Intellex® digital video management system and Kantech EntraPass solution to enable their security personnel to react more immediately to potential security incidents by providing a visual of the event. Video Vault makes it much easier to store and manage such video by automatically organizing and storing the video in user-defined folders such as ‘Door Forced Open’, ‘Invalid Card’ etc.

"By eliminating the need to manually archive video, we're also eliminating the human error that can accompany it," adds Langlais. "And that means security managers have one less thing to worry about."
