Products include enhancements for improved functionality and user-friendly operation

Tour Andover Controls, a world leader in building automation, security systems and energy solutions, introduces Continuum CyberStation and web.Client revision 1.7, the latest update of the company's integrated card access/security and energy management solution. The newest CyberStation release contains additional features and enhancements for creating reports, integrating video and creating schedules and long term data logging, combined with easier site navigation with web.Client 1.7.

The revised software introduces graphical reports to the Continuum system, letting users translate site data into bar or pie charts, line graphs, text or XML reports for better access to view and analyze existing data. Users can distribute the information in one step with convenient scheduling and emailing features. The flexibility of multiple outputs, including XML, eases integration to external data analysis software.

CyberStation 1.7's automatic extended log retrieval is simple to set up and no programming is required. The software keeps records of a site's most critical points and provides reliable retrieval. Extended logging is enabled at each point using a simple check box. Extended log data is then viewable through the new Graphical Reports.

The redesigned Schedule Editor feature makes configuration and workflow easer and enables users to revise or generate schedules quickly. It uses a more familiar outlook type interface and the mass create and mass change features improve productivity.

"With its open design, CyberStation 1.7 easily interoperates with third party BACnet devices," said Lonnie Laue, director of marketing and sales support for Tour Andover Controls. "Continuum's interoperable technology gives owners the power to 'talk' to their entire building with over 150 communication drivers to third-party systems."

CyberStation 1.7 also simplifies the integration of digital video into a complete building solution with the VideoServer and VideoLayout features. Video integration is built in at no additional cost rather than being an add-on option. VideoServer lets users define DVR connections and logon information while VideoLayout allows them to define a matrix of cameras from any source to display live or recorded video. Automatic pop ups alert users of an alarm and the VideoLayout may be linked to an alarm and launched either manually or automatically from an active alarm.

Client is Tour Andover Controls' web-based solution for managing multiple Continuum sites. It allows users to experience all of Continuum's functions and graphical reporting capabilities through a single Web interface. With this secure software, authorized users can quickly access building system information from anyplace with an Internet connection. Version 1.7 offers redesigned navigation and the improved interface allows for efficient workflow and ease of operation.

"With Continuum CyberStation and web.Client 1.7, environmental, lighting and access control; intrusion detection; digital CCTV; and fire and life safety system monitoring and detection can be integrated into a single system," said Laue. "Continuum protects a building owner's budget as well. It uses a building's existing network, saving installation, maintenance and training costs and Continuum's scalability allows users to purchase according to their current needs with the ability to expand the system to meet future demands."
