Niwot, Colo. -- While participating at ISC East for the first time, ISONAS Security Systems will demonstrate the world's first wireless IP door reader for the access control/security industry. The ISONAS ClearNet IP Reader-Controllers, which won "Best New Access Control Product" at the ISC West show in 2004, now incorporate Lantronix wireless technology, connect directly to an IP network and eliminate the need for traditional security control panels and expensive wiring. Both ISONAS IP and Wireless IP Reader-Controllers come bundled with the latest Crystal Matrix Software, enabling "plug and play" functionality. What was traditionally a complicated configuration and installation is now as simple as installing wireless access points on a network.
Utilizing Lantronix WiPort, the ISONAS wireless door reader controller is now equipped with the industry standard 802.11b wireless protocol, making it compatible with virtually any wireless access point on the market. WPA and 128bit WEP encryption also ensure secure communications between the IP door reader and the network. With ISONAS reader software, network administrators can directly monitor and control an almost unlimited number of door readers across the enterprise, as well as time and attendance and emergency response. The combined solution demonstrates the latest innovation in secure access technology.
"This is great news for enterprises concerned with scalability and increased control of physical security," said Ken Butte, President of ISONAS. "By attaching our reader-controllers directly to the network, wired or wirelessly, customers leap forward in their efforts to integrate information and access control systems. The Wireless IP reader-controller is a break-through product for our industry."
ISONAS is currently shipping Wireless IP Readers, the first product of its kind on the market. The product retails for $799. For a limited time ISONAS is also offering IP or Wireless Demo Readers at the special price of $199 (regular MSRP is $399.) The ISONAS Demo Readers, which connect to a customer's computer, simulate all the major functions of actual IP Readers without having to be installed at the door.
