LOVES PARK, Ill. -- Invensys Building Systems today announced that it has extended its OEM agreement with NovusEdge, a leading provider of complete physical security solutions, to incorporate the EdgeProtect(TM) solution into its I/A Series(R) intelligent automated control system. The solution is available immediately through Invensys' independent field offices in the United States.
The new, intelligent control system delivers the first complete asset protection solution and integrated building automated system (BAS) to customers of any size from a single workstation console.
"Invensys and NovusEdge are leading the industry to create holistic, intelligent, automated building systems," said Ralph Box, Marketing Manager Systems & Sensors at Invensys Building Systems. "Adequate protection of both physical assets and employees is an extremely important function for any building system, and it makes sense that it be integrated with the capabilities of our I/A Series(R) Intelligent Automated System. Now we can offer our customers the latest in asset protection technology as part of a total Invensys system solution."
Invensys Building Systems' I/A Series(R) Intelligent Automated System creates maximum environmental control from a single workstation console that gathers and assimilates the information necessary for any facility to operate safer, more comfortable and more secure. The open architecture of the system creates an opportunity for simple product upgrades and enhanced management features at reasonable costs. This system works in any size building and significantly increases the overall intelligence of any BAS operating system.
The EdgeProtect Solution adds asset protection to the I/A single seat integrated operation console by offering a comprehensive physical security solution for securing assets and mitigating risks associated with people, facilities, equipment and other mission critical devices. This integrated solution includes access control, video, alarm management and environmental sensors.
