Aug. 11, 2005

Versitron, a cabling and networking company, has introduced a new series of fiber optic transmission products that are specifically designed for the transfer of video data.

The company's FVT1000/FVR1000 can send video signals over the fiber, while the FVT1100/FVR1100 allows for both sending of a video signal as well as the return of a data signal.

The systems are compatible with NTSC, PAL and SECAM standards, and the products offer RS-232, RS-485, and RS-422 data interfaces. These new products support transmission of up to 40km using single mode fiber cable.

ST and SC optical connectors are standard, and a BNC connector provides the copper interface for the video input/output. These new Versitron products are available in stand alone and rack mounted designs. The products carry a lifetime warranty.
