Montreal, Canada -- MuxLab Inc (www.muxlab.com), a designer and manufacturer of audio-video connectivity solutions for copper twisted pair, announces its latest product for the commercial and consumer audio-video industry…..The PS/2 Converter (500045, 500046).

Developed for commercial audio-video integrators and custom home installers, the PS/2 Converter allows one (1) PS/2 keyboard and one (1) PS/2 mouse to be connected via Category 5 copper twisted pair cable in a point-to-point configuration for neater and more efficient cabling.

The PS/2 is a complementary product to MuxLab’s VGA Balun, thus providing a more complete keyboard, video and mouse cabling solution for short and medium distance point-to-point applications such as; classroom projector systems, digital signage, boardroom systems, collaborative PC systems and medical information systems.

Requiring no power, the PS/2 Converter allows PS/2 devices to be located up to 350 ft (106m) from the PC via Cat5 UTP cable.

The PS/2 Converter comes in two (2) models for ease of installation; 500045 and 500046. The 500045 features two (2) female color-coded PS/2 connectors for ease of connection to the PS/2 keyboard and mouse. The 500046 features two (2) built-in color-coded 6” male PS/2 cable leads for ease of connection to the PC.
