SDC Introduces Selectric Electrified Lockset

Feb. 2, 2005
SDC also introduces electric conversions of major brand mechanical locksets such as Schlage, Yale, Corbin Russwin, Sargent, Best and others

New SDC Selectric locks meet both life safety, building code and security requirements for locking fire rated interior and perimeter office doors, elevator lobby and stairwell doors, where the use of electric strikes and magnetic locks may be prohibited, and eliminates the need for request-to-exit devices by providing egress by turning the manual inside lever handle. The SDC Selectric Pro, which is being introduced at ISC West 2005, incorporates a clutch for vandal resistance and all field selectable features, including field selectable failsafe/fail-secure, locked outside only or locked on both sides, handing, 12/24VDC.

SDC also is offering Selectric Conversions for electrification of locksets from Schlage, Yale, Corbin Russwin, Sargent, Best, Marks, Dorma and Arrow. SDC Selectric locksets comply with NFPA, UFC, UBC, SBC, BOCA, IBC, IFC, California State and City of New York MEA building and life safety code requirements for electric locking of all interior and perimeter fire rated doors.
