Gemini Communications of Chennai has introduced its TRAZE range of radio frequency identification (RFID) products developed on the RFID platform. Texas Instruments has provided the RFID platform to the company. The company will support Gemini Communications in product application and marketing.
The TRAZE range includes access control systems, time and attendance systems, asset tracking system, library management solutions and road loop antennas for vehicle tracking. Gemini Communications is planning to invest Rs5 crore in design, development and manufacture of RFID products in 2005.
Murugappa group, Indian Space Research Organisation, Sundaram Clayton, Larsen and Toubro and TVS Electronics are the clients of Gemini Communications in the RFID field.
