Compact and lightweight, the TK-C920UA adds Super LoLux sensitivity for low-light conditions

JVC Professional Products Company announced the launch of the TK-C920UA high-resolution, color surveillance camera. The compact and lightweight camera features day/night functionality and Super LoLux sensitivity for low-light conditions, providing enhanced lighting functions that ensure quality image capture even under the most demanding conditions and in the most difficult locations.

The TK-C920UA camera's high-sensitivity 1/3" Interline Transfer CCD delivers crisp and clear pictures over 535 TV lines of horizontal resolution (380,000 active pixels) for visual coverage of locations where accurate color reproduction and high image quality are critical.

"The TK-C920UA delivers the high-resolution, high-quality images JVC is known for, with the added day/night functionality to ensure that, regardless of lighting conditions, the camera will deliver clear, detailed images," said Steve Martin, assistant vice president Video Imaging Systems Division of JVC Professional Products Company. "This camera performs brilliantly in all the key areas and is a welcome addition to JVC's already impressive line of surveillance cameras."

The versatile camera's day/night function automatically captures images in color mode during daylight hours and when the subject is bright, and switches to black-and-white mode at night and in low-light conditions. Using an F1.2 lens, the Super LoLux sensitivity enables the camera to capture reliable, high-performance images even at light conditions as low as 0.7 lux in color mode, and .48 lux in black and white. Combined with a high signal-to-noise ratio of 50dB, the TK-C920UA produces crisp images with a low level of smear and extremely accurate color reproduction.

JVC's innovative 10-bit digital signal processor (DSP) with extended dynamic range automatically adjusts the key image parameters to ensure sharp and natural pictures. The Automatic Electronic Shutter (AES) controls the exposure electronically and provides an excellent picture in most lighting conditions with a less expensive manual iris lens.

Optimal white balance is achieved through Automatic White Tracking with one touch adjustment in a range of color temperatures from 2,300K to 10,000K. Backlight Compensation is enabled by the flick of a switch, improving darkened images with the additional necessary lighting.
