Anixter and CoVi Technologies Sign Distribution Agreement

Sept. 28, 2004
Anixter Inc. and CoVi Technologies, Inc. announced they formed a partnership to distribute CoVi's line of high definition MultiView surveillance cameras to integrators.

Anixter Inc. (NYSE: AXE), the world's leading distributor of security and communication products, and CoVi Technologies, Inc., manufacturer of the award-winning EVQ-1000(TM) video surveillance camera, today announced that they have formed a partnership to distribute CoVi's line of high definition MultiView (TM) surveillance cameras to integrators throughout North America.

The EVQ-1000 can easily be installed within existing or new security environments, while the unique MultiView feature allows the camera to emulate up to four cameras from a single source image. Electronic PTZ functionality can also emulate traditional pan-tilt and zoom functions entirely within the HD camera providing significant cost savings.

"We are very excited to be able to bring the rich feature set of the CoVi EVQ-1000 to our customer base," explained Marc Abbagnaro, Vice President Marketing, Physical Security, Anixter.

"Our EVQ-1000 provides the type of image clarity that makes positive identification and detailed transaction capture possible," said Barry Walker, President and CEO of CoVi Technologies. "Our distribution agreement with Anixter means that this innovative technology is now available to all levels of security integrators throughout North America."

The EVQ-1000 has already found application in Banking, Retail, and Federal Government environments. Because it utilizes an HD sensor offering a 33% wider field of view, and has up to three Zoom-Under-Pictures, one EVQ-1000 can often provide video surveillance that previously required two to four traditional cameras.
