Company's EX82 infrared cameras offer nighttime surveillance in harsh environment

Vancouver, B.C. - Extreme CCTV Inc., the security industry's leading supplier of active-infrared night vision surveillance equipment, reports that a large quantity of EX82DXL cameras is being installed for round-the-clock surveillance of telecom networks across Kuwait. Local security provider Kuwait Computer Services specified the cameras as part of an integrated security management system for one of the region's leading telecom operators. The order is valued at over CDN$100,000.

Connected to a network of Digital Video Recorders managed from a central control room, the EX82 cameras will interface seamlessly with the central OnGuard Server over a wireless communication network. EX82 is a powerful, dual-sensor camera that delivers superb color performance by day and +30m of outstanding infrared surveillance at night. Part of Extreme CCTV's Integrated Day-Night (IDNTM) range, the EX82 combines camera, lens and infrared illumination technology into a single housing for an easy to install, "plug and play" solution.

Kuwait Computer Services selected EX82 for its "no compromise" 24/7 surveillance capabilities. The camera's tough, all-weather housing and 6mm Lexan protective window make it the ideal choice for outdoor surveillance in the harsh Kuwaiti climate. With its low voltage operation, solid-state CCD technology and controlled regulated voltage, EX82 can operate for years without requiring regular service or maintenance.

"Extreme products are now being used for numerous applications in Persian Gulf states," said Jack Gin, President and CEO of Extreme CCTV. "Our EX27D Desert Cam is designed especially for hot desert conditions, up to 65 degrees C (158 degrees F)."

Other recent infrastructure projects in the region include surveillance for oil companies in Saudi Arabia and at locations in Iraq that cannot be disclosed. Extreme CCTV International, a subsidiary of Extreme CCTV Inc., will be presenting at the upcoming Intersec security exhibition in Dubai, January 29 - 31, 2006.
