CHURCHTON, Md. - BANKDetect, LLC., a privately held knowledge-based technology company that focuses solely on loss prevention and compliance for financial industries, has added Xavier Estrada to its team as senior software engineer.
In this position, Estrada is responsible for providing support for daily production and upgrades of fraud detection client server applications written in Microsoft Visual C#. He will monitor development initiatives while insuring successful testing and deployment of new functionality for all of BANKDetect's products.
"Xavier is a strong asset to our company because of his background in the financial industry and his thorough knowledge of how to apply technology to the needs of this industry," said Karen Cofod Smith, executive vice president and operational manager. "With Xavier's addition to our engineering department, we will continue to improve the products we offer and better anticipate our clients' compliance and fraud prevention needs."
Estrada has more than two decades of computer programming experience. Prior to joining BANKDetect, he was a senior programmer and analyst for Riggs Bank of Riverdale, Md. His responsibilities included designing, coding, testing and implementing Web applications. Estrada also developed a customized Windows application for clients that allowed them to convert EXCEL spreadsheets to an accepted mainframe vendor application format.

Estrada is a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), a technical leader who can successfully implement Microsoft business solutions. He is currently preparing for the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) Certifications.
