GVI Security Solutions to Use Safeguards Video-Based Threat Detection System

GVI signs agreement to employ Safeguards' software and video controller package ioImage for intelligent video threat detection

CARROLLTON, Texas -- GVI Security Solutions, Inc. ("GVI"), a provider of integrated Homeland Security Enterprise solutions including a complete line of CCTV, Digital Video Recording, Access Control, Rapid Access Portals, Video IT Based Networking, and Perimeter Control systems that enhance life safety for government agencies, private sectors, and the public at large, today announced that is has signed an OEM agreement with Safeguards Video, LLC ("Safeguards") to utilize their ioIMAGE Video Threat Detection products under the GVI Security banner.

The Intelligent Threat Detection and Monitoring systems enhance security by converting standard video surveillance systems that rely on human security operators to observe, analyze and detect suspicious behavior into High tech, Intelligent systems employing the most advanced algorithms that automatically identify and focus in on human or automotive intruders at long ranges and in low light conditions. The automated intelligence of this system allows operators to monitor more cameras with fewer employees, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.

The innovative products include five bundled packages that support Video Threat Detection on a base of 16 cameras up to an unlimited amount of cameras. The built-in Pan-Tilt-Zoom PTZTrack module provides the additional capability of commanding PTZ-type cameras to automatically follow and zoom in on detected "targets" for continued digital video recording.

The Video Threat Detection and Tracking System products covered in this agreement recently went through nine months of rigorous field testing and evaluation at the US Department of Energy, Sandia Labs, where it was proven to be a successful security enhancement. It was also proven to be successful during a one year test by the Israeli Defense Force which led to an acquisition certificate. The products are currently installed and in use throughout high security facilities in the US and around the world.

Safeguards, a leading provider of intelligent video systems focusing on the high-end security market, is co-owned by ioIMAGE Ltd., an Israeli company that is the developer of the Video Threat Detection system specializing in the development of solutions for the security industry, and Safeguards Technology Inc., an American company being a leader in the high end perimeter intrusion security market.

This non-exclusive agreement will provide Safeguards' Video Threat Detection and Tracking System software and hardware products to GVI for utilization and distribution under their own private OEM label.
