LAKE FOREST, CALIFORNIA -- MicroTek Electronics announces the latest addition to the MiniLink family of products, the MiniLink Wireless Ethernet System (WES) with point-to-multipoint connectivity. The latest MiniLink Wireless Ethernet System utilizes 802.11a technology and consists of a Host/Access Point that can connect to multiple Client/Subscriber Units. Operating in the license free 5.3 and 5.8 GHz U-NII bands the system offers eight rotary switch selectable channels, three in the 5.3 GHz band and five in the 5.8 GHz band. All channels are encrypted for secure transmission using WPA2 technology and offer throughput of 20 Mbps in standard mode and 40 Mbps in turbo mode (turbo mode is limited to 3 channels). The system provides connectivity in varying ranges up to 6 miles for standard Ethernet-enabled devices such as IP cameras, DVRs, NVRs, encoders/decoders video servers, fast switches, etc. The MiniLink WES is versatile and easy to install with its dipswitch selectable setup and LED indicators. Components of the MiniLink Wireless Ethernet system are housed in weatherproof billet aluminum cases. The included mounting hardware and standard Ľ-20 mounting holes simplify installation.
