MDI Security Systems Announces New Senior Vice President of Sales

Robert A. Schorr to lead sales initiative at San Antonio-based developer of access and video systems

SAN ANTONIO -- MDI Security Systems, the foundation of MDI, Inc., a recognized leader in delivering open integrated access control, alarm management and video security solutions, today announced that it has appointed Robert A. Schorr as the new Sr. Vice President of Sales.

Over the past eight months, Mr. Schorr has worked as an executive consultant to MDI, assisting the company in re-positioning their offerings in the North American security market by negotiating contracts with large systems integrators, creating global market distribution strategies and spearheading the introduction of their new iTRUST(TM), ViewPoint(TM) and nTEGRITY(TM) product lines. He has also overseen the expansion of MDI's existing SAFEnet(R) Open System Integration (OSI) Platform to the enterprise market.

As a 16-year security industry veteran, Mr. Schorr has been involved in a wide range of management, operational and sales responsibilities during his career. These include product design, product development, product management, marketing, systems integration, management consulting and sales management. Most recently, Mr. Schorr was co-founder of RF Logics. At RF Logics, he assisted in successfully attaining both series A and B round financing while positioning the company in the international market as a leading provider of proximity readers, biometrics and access control products.
