ATLANTA -- VistaScape Security Systems announced today that the company was chosen by Red Herring as one of the 100 most innovative companies, joining visionary companies such as Google, H-P, and IBM.

Red Herring's Innovation 100 Awards honor a select group of companies for breakthroughs in technology, marketing, sales, service, financing or human relations. Red Herring editors evaluated over 900 companies, using analysis of financial data and subjective criteria such as quality of management, execution of strategy, and dedication to research and development.

VistaScape transforms surveillance into a tool for prevention. Traditional video surveillance requires guards to constantly watch banks of video displays to detect problems and then respond quickly and according to site policy. The result is that many incidents go undetected and authorities must rely on video playback after a crime has already taken place.

VistaScape's SiteIQ(TM) provides users with a single 3-D display that shows a graphical view of all activity in an entire area, based on analysis of video and other sensors. SiteIQ compares activity to site policy, in real-time, and instantly alerts guards to the exact location of potential problems. By automating monitoring and policy decisions, guards can focus on responding to, and preventing, security violations.

The Innovation 100 award is the latest in a string of accolades from business, technology and industry publications for VistaScape. The company was previously chosen by Red Herring as a "Top 100 Firm Driving the Future of Technology" and by Fast Company as one of the 101 ideas, trends and people that will change the way we work and live in 2005. SiteIQ is a finalist for 2004 Security Product of the Year from Access Control & Security Solutions.
