Amadeus Capital Partners, a new ForeScout investor, led the round inwhich existing investors, Accel Partners, Meritech Capital, Pitango Venture Capital and Itouchu Corporation also participated.

ForeScout recently introduced the CounterACT 5.0 security appliance, which builds on the existing strength of its core patented technology, ActiveResponse. CounterACT provides complete network access control enforcing all network access policies. This functionality is integrated with ForeScout's signatureless intrusion prevention technology, which ensures network protection in real-time from "zero-day" threats even if the connecting endpoint is in compliance with network access policies.
Additionally, CounterACT provides the ability to identify any existing vulnerabilities and deploys a virtual firewall, protecting the device(s) from potential exploit.
