GE's Security Business Names Joe Aguayo Transportation Market Sales Manager

Position to Focus on Creating Solutions with Integrators for Public/Private Transportation Agencies


GE's Security business today announced that Joe Aguayo has joined the Corporate Vertical Market Team as Transportation Sales Manager.' This position is responsible for working with integrators and public transit authorities and private transportation organizations to deliver fully integrated security solutions to airports, railways, ports and other transportation venues.

"My team will focus on providing comprehensive GE security solutions for facilities and mobile properties within heavy and light rail lines and bus properties, including the operational centers associated with such transportation organizations.' We will also promote intelligent transportation system solutions for departments of transportation," Aguayo said.' "I look forward to helping transportation leaders and their integrators build upon our present successful installations."

Aguayo previously was the Information-Based Services Sales and Marketing Manger for GE Transportation Systems (GETS), where he was responsible for GETS' onboard computing and multi-mode communications platform, and information-based solutions.

Prior to GETS, Aguayo was with Motorola Manufacturing Solutions Advanced Test (MMS-AT) and with SpeedFam-IPEC (now part of Novellus Systems).'

Aguayo has an MBA from the Thunderbird School of International Management, a BS in Technical Management from DeVry University, and Associate Degrees in Electronics Technology from Chandler-Gilbert Community College and Aircraft Maintenance Technology at DeVry Institute of Technology.' He is fluent in Spanish.

Aguayo will work out of Phoenix.
