Axis Communications Forms Partnership with DVTel

DVTel's Latitude Network Video Management System will be integrated with Axis' new generation of network cameras and video servers

Axis Communications, the global leader in the network video market, has partnered with the market leader in delivery of comprehensive, fully integrated IP-Surveillance and monitoring solutions - DVTel. As a result of the partnership DVTel's Latitude Network Video Management System (NVMS) is being fully integrated with Axis' new generation of network cameras and video servers.

Axis Communications sees integration with partners focusing on offering full integrated security and monitoring systems as critical for its widespread penetration into the large enterprise market. It is also seen as important for displacing large-scale enterprise CCTV systems over time.

DVTel's Latitude NVMS is a software based enterprise-level video, audio, and data management system which offers a single graphical user interface (GUI) with monitoring, recording, and analysis functionality delivering the timely, accurate information required for effective response to security threats.

The Latitude NVMS can be used to view live and recorded images, control camera selection, control PTZ cameras. It collects data from a vast array of sources network management systems, access control systems, building management systems, point of sale systems, perimeter alarms, and any other open architecture based system and creates actionable information based on correlating and analysing alarm and event inputs.

The Latitude NVMS is a best-in-class network video system that provides seamless digital information management along with audio and serial data transmission and management across the network. It is designed to effectively integrate with existing access control and CCTV equipment including analogue matrices, keyboards and cameras to leverage and protect investments in legacy infrastructure and equipment. The system interfaces with network cameras, video servers, and domes, and supports multiple video compression standards including MPEG-4, MPEG-2 and M-JPEG.
