Nortronics Corporation of Fairview, New Jersey has named Javier H. Macias its new Chief Technical Officer. Macias' position at the company, which provides and maintains security equipment for multifamily, commercial and retail properties, will draw on his almost 20 years of experience bridging the fields of security and internet technology.

"We are very excited to have Javier on our team," said Maria Gonzalez, Nortronics Executive Vice President and President-in-Waiting.

For Nortronics, Macias will identify and integrate new communications and security systems technologies, increase new account sales and work closely with existing customers. Macias will be working directly with large enterprise customers, residential managers and commercial property managers in order to customize these new systems to the needs of their clients.

Macias most recently worked at On-Net Surveillance Systems of Suffern, NY, one of the foremost providers of advanced network-based digital video surveillance solutions. These systems, which allow security monitoring over conventional and wireless networks, are already proving themselves to be a tremendous growth area for Nortronics.

Macias was also a System Engineer Manager at Enterasys Networks of New York, NY. He spent almost a decade at RAD Data Communications in Mahwah, NJ, where he customized end-user training, provided new product certification to customers, and implemented management plans for communications products.

Macias completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University of New Jersey. Additionally, he speaks fluent Spanish and enjoys collecting antique phones in his spare time.
