TSA Names Federal Security Director for Memphis International Airport

WASHINGTON -- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has named Donald L. Barker as the Federal Security Director (FSD) for Memphis International Airport. Barker goes to Memphis after serving as the FSD of the Eugene (Ore.) Airport/Mahlon Sweet Field since TSA's inception in 2002. During his tenure in Oregon, Barker also filled temporary assignments as FSD in Southeast Alaska and Palm Springs, Calif.

"Donald brings a tremendous amount of experience and aviation security knowledge to this position," said Dario Compain, South East Area Director for TSA. "He has done a superb job as the FSD in Eugene, and 'pinch-hitting' throughout the West. His leadership skills and array of diverse experiences will serve him and the stakeholders at one of the world's busiest cargo airports."

Prior to joining TSA, Barker served for 21 years as a U.S. Marine Corps officer at various locations in the U.S. and 28 foreign countries. His final military assignment involved command of several Combat Service Support Detachments within the Pacific Rim.
