Canadian manufacturer of thermal infrared cameras is tapping into growing Indian market

Cantronic Systems Inc. has penetrated a new market and delivered the first order of its Thermal Infrared Night Surveillance cameras to India.

"Cantronic is continuously forming and nurturing new business relationships, gaining access to exciting untapped markets," says James Zahn, President and CEO of Cantronic. He adds, "This first sale is particularly gratifying in that it represents one of Cantronic's fundamental goals of matching our cutting edge technologies, with the homeland security needs of both established and burgeoning economies such as, India."

An East Indian technology company has chosen Cantronic as its choice manufacturer, and has purchased several of its Thermal Infrared Night Surveillance Cameras TR 2000-100E and Thermal Infrared Night Vision Cameras TR 2000-150E for its own surveillance usage.

Home to more than 15 percent of the world's population, India's surveillance security market is, as yet, virtually untapped. The surveillance camera market has augmented from $2 billion (pre 9/11) to between $5 billion and $6 billion (post 9/11), with one of the key mushrooming markets being India.
