Best Buy Goes RFID Route

Best Buy will begin rolling out RFID technology to distribution centers and stores over next several years

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-- Biometrics 2000 Corporation is expanding its business operations to Florida. The company is opening a sales and support office in Orlando, Florida. The company's CEO, Joseph Turek announced, "We are expanding our presence to Florida to continue our emphasis of being close to our customers. We view the travel and hospitality industry to be a strategic sector for our advanced security, verification and customer relationship technologies. Accordingly, we are opening up an office in Central Florida to increase closeness and synergy between our team and this industry sector."

The Biometrics 2000 office will be adjacent to that of their strategic partner, Applied Transport Solutions, Inc. (ATS). Previously, ATS and Biometrics 2000 announced a strategic partnership to provide integrated logistics and security solutions to the travel and hospitality/resort industries. Dr. William Good, ATS chairman, commented, "We are very excited about the continued expansion of our strategic alignment with Biometrics 2000. We share a very strong vision for our joint solutions being embraced by many industries. Our presence in Central Florida underscores our commitment to the travel industry."

The Orlando office will house sales and support resources. It is expected to house solutions development resources in the near future. Turek added, "We obviously want our support and sales teams close to our clients and partners. We also believe that our developers should be close to clients, to ensure that every solution we deliver is based on strategic customer requirements. We are committed to ensuring our advanced technology is also very market-driven."
