MSGI Appoints New Director of Security and Law Enforcement Services

Robert Martin joins security, safety and surveillance company, comes from long history of police work and anti-terrorism preparedness

Media Services Group, Inc. today announced that Robert A. Martin has joined the company as Director of Security and Law Enforcement Services. Mr. Martin brings more than 30 years of broad-based experience in law enforcement, security and counter- terrorism to his new position.

Mr. Martin served for 32 years with the New York City Police Department, rising to the rank of Deputy Inspector. During his tenure with the NYPD he supervised the New York Joint Terrorist Task Force and participated in many high profile investigations. These cases included the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, the "Blind Sheik" bombing conspiracy, and the crash of TWA Flight 800.

In 1996, Mr. Martin was appointed to the International Association of Chiefs of Police "Committee on Terrorism" in recognition of his extensive work in counter-terrorism. He still holds this position today. In September 2002, he was named to the Oklahoma City National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT). He has been designated a "Terrorism-Subject Matter Expert" by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office for Domestic Preparedness. Mr. Martin assists the agency in formulating counter-terrorism strategies.

In 2001, Mr. Martin joined the Anti-Defamation League as its Director of Security. He later led a law enforcement mission to Israel. He was chosen by the FBI to conduct training for personnel assigned to Joint Terrorist Task Forces. Mr. Martin has lectured worldwide on the threat of terrorism and counter-terrorism strategies, and has served as a consultant on security matters with numerous security firms and major corporations. He currently serves as an adjunct professor at Molloy College on Long Island, where he teaches courses in criminal justice and counter-terrorism.
