CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. -- -Global ePoint, Inc., a leading manufacturer of security technologies for the aviation, military, law enforcement, industrial and commercial markets, announced today that a leading fast food restaurant chain has placed an order for its wholly-owned division's Perpetual Digital's video surveillance systems. Perpetual Digital is part of Global ePoint's Digital Technology division.

The order represents an initial deployment of Perpetual Digital's Embedded Digital Video Recorder (DVR) systems and Surveillance Cameras for this franchise based fast food restaurant chain, with over 100 locations. Perpetual Digital's Embedded DVR is a stand alone digital video surveillance system that delivers remote or offsite viewing via web or LAN/WAN, event controlled recording, and CD-RW drive for backup or archival storage.

"This order represents a significant milestone for our Perpetual Digital product line as it marks our initial entry into the restaurant market," commented Greg Edelman, Vice President of Business Development for Global ePoint. "We feel that the restaurant industry, much like the retail industry, is a significant market for our solutions designed to resolve specific customer needs interfacing with their Point of Sale systems."

Global ePoint is working through their wholesale distribution network with Systems Integrator Dan-D Company, Inc. (www.dan-d.com) on this security surveillance project. "The Perpetual product delivers everything that our customer requires," commented Dan Davis, President/Owner of Dan-D Company. "Their diverse product line offers the flexibility to deliver a solution that truly meets restaurant customer's security specifications."

"We have worked hard over the last year to develop security surveillance solutions with specific applications to meet different vertical market requirements. We believe the restaurant market is a growth market for us and it is a particular focus for our security solutions," remarked Mr. Edelman. "Video surveillance in the restaurant industry provides a number of cost savings benefits including improved customer service, lower shrinkage and other crime-prevention steps as well as faster sales transaction times, safer food-handling practices, better inventory controls, improved consistency in food preparation, reductions in workplace injuries and injury-related fraud, refined training techniques, and reduced employee turnover."
